Fuji-Q Highland is an amusement park in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan. it was opened on 2 March 1968.
The theme park is near the base of Mount Fuji. It has a number of roller coasters, as well as two haunted attractions: the Haunted Hospital, the world's first largest haunted attraction and the newly built Hopeless Fortress. Other attractions include Thomas Land, a children's area with a Thomas the Tank Engine theme and attractions themed to Mobile Suit Gundam, Hamtaro and Evangelion.
Fuji-Q Highland is a two hour car ride from Tokyo & what better way to travel than in a prestige limousine with an english speaking chauffeur who can point out all the historic attractions along the way. One of our drivers, Atsushi Dai, took a family for a day trip last weekend which took in Fuji-Q Highland, Safari Park, photo's at the five lakes & a stop off at Gotemba Shopping outlet on the way home. Atsushi said the family he took out there had a super fun day & everyone was exhausted when they finally arrived back at their hotel.
